With only a few more weeks before we elect our next president, I’ve decided to focus on how our four friends are doing as they navigate a tricky section of their spiritual paths.

The discussion around Obama’s and Palin’s qualifications to be President of the United States is an important one. As with any turn of events, in this case the introduction of Sarah Palin as Vice Presidential nominee, the catalyst or root action is often far removed from the event itself. I would like to discuss the root action for a moment.

While I walked to my car in the Target parking lot recently, a young couple heading toward the store caught my attention. They were both in their mid-20s, holding the hands of their two children. They looked a little tired and distracted, but smiling quietly as they walked. 

 

The current foreclosure crisis in the United States is the latest effect of a singular spiritual event in 1965. And, America’s way forward to economic and social health started in 1979 with a grassroots collaboration on a spirit level among hundreds of thousands of Americans.
